Formed in 2013, Meridies is a solo project in which one musician performs most parts, including vocals, guitar, and bass. Since the 2015 full-length album "On A Submerged Islet," the project has combined extreme metal with literary imagination, notably using works by Yi Sang and other Korean writers in its lyrics.
