
Joyakgol is an anarchist activist and musician who has taken part in peace movements in Daechuri, Saemangeum, and Gangjeong. After encountering a pod of Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins during the anti-naval-base struggle in Gangjeong in 2011, he co-founded the marine environmental group Hot Pink Dolphins and helped launch Asia's first aquarium dolphin liberation movement.
